This basically means it?s a common pain reliever among the ranks of ibuprofen (Motrin), indomethacin (Indocin), nabumentone (Relafen), and several others you are probably familiar with. Naproxen, which is sold over the counter as Aleve, is used to manage mild to moderate pain, fever, and inflammation. It works by reducing the production of pain chemicals in the brain. Naproxen was approved by the FDA in December, 1991.

Naproxen (Aleve) has been very successful because it has a longer half-life than many other drugs, resulting in as long as 12-hour pain relief. Because it thins the blood, it should not be used in conjunction with any blood thinners or blood pressure lowering drugs. Beyond a few cases negative reactions, such as increased rate of lithium toxicity, Naproxen has been enjoyed widespread use without many visible problem.

However, in December of 2004 the FDA issued a press release describing a National Institutes of Health survey. The five-year study, in which Alzheimer?s Disease patients were administered high dosages of Naproxen, had to be halted early because early in the trial 50% of the patients had suffered heart attacks and strokes.

BILAL HAFEEZ, GLOBAL HEAD OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE STRATEGY AT DUETSCHE BANK AG, TALKS TO ANDREA CATHERWOOD ABOUT CHINA’S CURRENCY AND THE GREEK CRISIS MAY 24, 2010 SPEAKERS: BILAL HAFEEZ, GLOBAL HEAD OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE STRATEGY, DUETSCHE BANK AG ANDREA CATHERWOOD, BLOOMBERG NEWS ANDREA CATHERWOOD, BLOOMBERG NEWS: I am joined by the Global Head of Foreign Exchange Strategy at the world’s biggest Forex dealer, Deutsche Bank, Bilal Hafeez, good morning to you. BILAL HAFEEZ, GLOBAL HEAD OF FOREIGN EXCHANGE STRATEGY, DUETSCHE BANK AG: Good morning. CATHERWOOD: Let’s look, first, at what is happening in China. We have heard these words gradual, independent, and really very little has changed. Is this a signal to the U.S. delegation that they are not really going to get anywhere on the movement on the yuan this time around? HAFEEZ: Well, what we have seen over the last few months is on both sides, but the U.S. and Chinese side has much more dialogue, having previously been one where the whole topic was very political. So I do think that although we may necessarily any big announcements today, we are moving towards a scenario where they do actually revalue their currency. CATHERWOOD: I suppose the key question is when and that is what nobody seems to have the answer to. HAFEEZ: I wouldn’t be surprised if they did move to some kind of revaluation over the next three or four months. CATHERWOOD: What effect do you think the euro crisis may be having on their thoughts about what to do with the yuan and when? HAFEEZ: Well, it complicates the picture somewhat in the sense that the euro decline has been so rapid that the Euro/China exchange rate has moved so much. And Europe is a larger trade partner with China than the U.S

That’s called Camel Mail.

Most people can’t resist opening a bulky package when it arrives. There’s something about that hump that attracts our attention. We just have to see what’s inside. So use the power of curiosity as a marketing tool.

Your hump may be created by a promotional item that you want to give to your prospects. Maybe it’s an important article or story you think they will enjoy (to create the hump, send several of them folded into smaller pieces and let the recipient know you sent several copies for her to pass on to associates). Or perhaps it’s just a special offer or gift you want to get in front of your prospects and you present it nicely, and heavily, with decorative paper or bubble wrap.

Whatever it takes, just make sure you create the hump. And the bigger the hump, the better.

Of course the bulky item alone won’t be enough to move a prospect along in the sales process. Make sure you include a direct mail letter or personal note that highlights a specific benefit the prospect gets by doing business with you. If the item enclosed reinforces your message, that’s even better.

If you are planning on framing your photographs, you will need to get them matted first. It is important to keep in mind that many finished frames are sold with a mat, which was cut to fit that particular frame. There are a couple of potential problems which you should consider before settling on the supplied mat. First and foremost, unless you are shopping for some very high end frames, you will receive a mat which is not of archival quality. If the photography which you intend on displaying is valuable, and you expect it to last for many years, mats made out or Acid-free, or even Preservation quality materials should be used.

Know what you are getting The biggest problem with most reasonably priced frames on the market is that they do not state whether or not the supplied mat is naturally acid-free, buffered PH, to control acid, or preservation quality, which is the top of the line. You will find more details and description of different types of mats in the Selecting a Mat for Your Photographs Article. Most people are on a budget when they shop for framing and matting materials, so simply tossing away a perfectly good mat may seem like a wrong thing to do.

Debt collection agent acting like thug

0 Comments | New Straits Times, Jul 29, 2010 | by Anusha Pathmanathan

I SIGNED up for a gym membership in 2006 with True Fitness in Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur, for a contract period of two years. At the end of last year, I wrote a letter to terminate my membership as I was unable to use the facilities because of some personal issues. The whole of last year, I had not stepped into the gym but the monthly subscription was auto-deducted from my credit card. I was paying for nothing.

I received emails from the credit control department demanding payment from the month that I had terminated my membership but I replied that since I was not using the facilities, I need not pay.

On July 7, an employee claiming to be from the fitness centre called and demanded immediate payment. He was rude over the phone and spoke threateningly. I explained but he refused to budge, so I hung up. That’s when I realised that the call was from the fitness centre’s debt collection agent.

On July 23, I received a call again from the same phone number but from a different person. He was polite at the beginning and I told him I would only speak if he was going to resolve the issue.

So, I gave my reasons for terminating my membership. But he kept saying that I had a two-year contract to fulfil and that I had to pay. I told him I had already fulfilled this contract period. Since then, he has been making numerous calls every day at odd times demanding payment

Adonis hoisted the bar up and took two steps back.

I held my breath as he dropped to the bottom of the first rep?

?Pop!?

All activity stopped in the gym as everyone turned their heads towards Adonis. The pop was so loud that I thought Adonis had popped his knee! As he re-racked his bar, I caught sight of a huge hole in his pants. Heck, it was so big, if I weren?t there, I might have thought a cannonball went through it. Two old grandmas behind him doing step-ups stared at him with their mouths wide open. Adonis? face was as red as beet!

?That?s a very well toned bottom you got there young man!?

Stifles of laughter were heard throughout the gym. We all watched as Adonis dashed straight for the locker room with a towel wrapped around his behind. Many erupted into laughter once Adonis was inside the locker room.

Alittle further down you’ll find that ?SHELBY? is spelled out in large badges, and the gas cap medallion features a Shelby Cobra GT500 logo. I’d say thats worth at least 5 horsepower too.

The interior is totally decked out in jet black and deep red leather. Top of the dash, on the door panels, center arm rest, shift boot, and even parking-brake handle is black leather. SVT Red leather seating surfaces and door panel inserts provide a marked contrast to the rest of the leather-trimmed cabin, surrounding the performance enthusiast with luxury and comfort. Snake logos embroidered into the seat backs finish off the new edge interior.

The rest of the interior takes it’s cues from the 2005 Mustang, pretty much it’s an upgraded version of the new Mustang’s interior and even has titanium faced MyColor gauges (yep, Ford’s still installing the neat little color changing thingy). One subtle, but unique difference will be the tachometer located on the right side of the instrument panel, as opposed to the left side like you would find in the GT and V6.

0 Comments | South Wales Evening Post, Feb 26, 2010

BRANDING is king, or so it seems these days.

Would you believe that Japanese luxury car maker Lexus is using their bespoke name on a range of doggy accessories? You can now buy an exquisite leather lead complete with collar, both with the Lexus logo embossed onto them.

The package comes with an anti-tip stainless steel bowl, and these canine care products are all presented in a doggie bag equipped with a pull-tie. All this for the princely sum of Pounds 68!

And that’s not all. To keep your canine friend nice and snug in the winter, you can also purchase a dog blanket consisting of black nylon on the outside for easy cleaning, and velveteen on the inside for you pooch’s comfort.

How much does this doggy luxury cost? How about Pounds 73.50! Should go down very well in Hollywood then.
